On 9 June 2026, the Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA) successfully hosted the “LegCo Visit & Dialogue with Legislator” event.
Led by our President Ir. Elsa Yuen, alongside Vice Presidents – Ryan Hsu and Vince Leung, HKLA members gathered at the Legislative Council Complex. We would like to extend our gratitude to the LegCo Secretariat staff for an insightful guided tour, which offered our members a comprehensive understanding of Hong Kong’s legislative processes and institutional operations.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the executive dialogue session. We were deeply honored to engage in a face-to-face, in-depth discussion with Capt. Hon. Lam Ming-fung, Legislator for the Transport and Logistics Sector, directly expressing our industry’s views and insights to the legislator.
Our leadership team and members actively exchanged views with Mr. Lam on several critical topics:
- Logistics & Livelihood: How logistics serves as the invisible backbone supporting every aspect of daily life
- Enhancing Public Image: Strategies to strengthen social recognition and change the public perception of the modern logistics sector
- Recruitment & Workforce Challenges: Addressing the pressing labor shortages and exploring targeted policy support from the government
