The 11th Hong Kong Logistics Case Competition and Workshop, organized by the Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA), was successfully held from February 27 to March 1, 2026, at the Youth Leadership Institute in Fanling. Marking the Association’s 30th anniversary, this year’s event was expanded and, for the first time, included multiple overseas universities, enhancing the international outlook and providing greater opportunities for cross-cultural exchange.

Participating teams came from Beijing Jiaotong University, Shenzhen Technology University, Korea Aerospace University, Thammasat University and Singapore University of Social Sciences. Local participants included the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Vocational Training Council (VTC). This diverse group of teams not only elevated the competition’s level but also encouraged student learning across various operational settings and cultures.

On the first day, all participants visited Hankyu Hanshin Express (HK) Ltd. for an on-site study focused on transport coordination arrangements. The second day featured a Case Workshop in which students formed mixed teams from various institutions to foster cross-cultural communication and rapid collaboration. Best Cost Solution and Best Time Solution awards were presented during this session. On the final day’s Case Competition, school teams presented comprehensive strategic proposals to a panel of industry experts. Submissions were evaluated on innovation, feasibility, cost-effectiveness, ESG considerations and teamwork, and the judges selected winners for Best ESG Solution, Best Innovative Solution and Best Cost-Effective Solution.

HKLA has been committed to nurturing logistics professionals and promoting collaboration within the industry. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Association aims to use this international platform to advance innovation in the sector and encourage more young people to pursue careers in logistics and supply chain management. Looking ahead, HKLA plans to introduce more training programs that combine theoretical learning with practical industry experience to revitalize Hong Kong’s logistics industry.
