The Management Committee (MC) of the Pilot Scheme approved at its third meeting on 13 July 2021 a total of 39 new projects for funding (including projects on application of technology as well as purchase of X-ray machines and Explosive Trace Detection equipment for setting up Regulated Air Cargo Screening Facilities by logistics service providers) involving a total sum of around HK$21 million. As of 13 July 2021, the MC has approved 101 projects for funding involving a total sum of around HK$66 million.
Also, to streamline the application procedure, applicant enterprises have been able to submit their applications through the new online application platform since 30 June 2021. Interested enterprises can visit the Pilot Scheme’s dedicated website (tplsp.hkpc.org) for more details.
Meanwhile, we have embarked on a series of promotion activities, with the aim of encouraging the adoption of technology by the logistic sector to enhance efficiency and productivity, with a view of strengthening further the competitiveness of the logistics industry in Hong Kong.
