HKLA’s 14th International Logistics Case Competition and Workshop Completed Successfully in Seoul, Korea
The 14th International Logistics Case Competition and Workshop, organized by the Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA), was successfully held in Seoul, Korea, from 30 June to 5 July 2026.
This year’s event brought together students from Incheon National University (INU), Korea Aerospace University (KAU), and the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). Representing Hong Kong were teams from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), the School of Professional Education and Executive Development (PolyU SPEED), the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and the Institute of Vocational Education (IVE).
The diverse mix of participants elevated the competition experience and created valuable opportunities for students to learn from different operational environments, academic perspectives, and cultural backgrounds.
A total of 39 participants and related HKLA members on business mission attended the welcoming dinner on 30 June. These networking offered valuable time for industry practitioners and students.
Participants visited LogisAll, LG Science Park, and ASETECT. Through site tours, students have to do presentations and through these three workshops to practice their problem solving skill and appreciation of ESG principles.
Students were grouped into mixed teams comprising members from different institutions from various universities. These arrangements encouraged and enhanced:
Cross-cultural communication
Leadership in teamwork and collaboration
Problem-solving under time pressure
Knowledge sharing across disciplines
Students can benefit from the analysis of actual business situations, identified challenges, and developed practical recommendations for improvement and innovation.
The final round was the Competition held on 3 July 2026, during which each school teams presented practical solution in front of a distinguished panel of industry experts. The participants demonstrated excellent analytical abilities, teamwork, creativity, and presentation skills throughout the competition.
Six awards were presented in recognition of outstanding performance. Congratulations to all winners and participants for their dedication and hard work!
