Elsa Yuen, President of the Hong Kong Logistics Association, stated on Wednesday (26th) at the Hong Kong Logistics Association x HSBC ESG Forum 2025 that practicing ESG is an inevitable way to protect enterprises’ survival during crises. Last year, the Hong Kong Logistics Association pioneered the industry’s first ESG rating system, which precisely helps companies review and address their core issues, benefiting long-term development.

She added that within just one year of launching the association’s ESG rating system, over 200 people have participated in seminar training, with 31 companies undergoing the rating process. This system evaluates the ESG SCM (Supply Chain Management) performance of both direct and indirect logistics operations. Through the rating system, assessed enterprises and organizations can gain insights into the components and performance of their internal ESG practices, thereby assisting small and medium enterprises in improving management/governance, establishing baselines, and identifying areas for improvement.
